A difficult announcement, and the beginning of a new chapter. ❤️

After six wonderful years, I have made the difficult decision to close Jennifer’s Gluten Free Kitchen.

I know this will be disappointing news for many of you. I also know how much this bakery means to the people who rely on us for safe, delicious gluten-free and celiac-friendly food. Being a dedicated celiac-safe food business in town has been an incredible privilege, and I am immensely proud of what we have built together.

This decision is not one I have made lightly.

This year I turned 60, and I have been doing a lot of thinking about what I want the next chapter of my life to look like. I am moving to be closer to my family, and I want to make more room for them, for myself, and for some of the things that life doesn't leave much time for when you are running a bakery.

After six years of building, baking, creating, serving, and growing this business, I feel that the time is right for me to step away and embrace that next chapter.

Like many small businesses, we have also faced significant financial pressures in recent years. I am proud of how I have navigated those challenges, but I have come to the conclusion that continuing is no longer the right business decision for me.

And to all of you who have supported me along the way:

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for every order, every recommendation, every kind message, and every celebration you allowed me to be part of.

Most of all, thank you for believing in what I was trying to create.

I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished.

I am sad to close this chapter, but I am also excited about what comes next.

This isn't goodbye just yet. I'll be sharing more information about the closing, final orders, and the equipment and assets that will be available in the coming weeks.
